MORE CHURCHES.
MORE PLACES.
Praying for healthy, gospel-centered churches to take root throughout Iceland.
A CHURCH
THAT HELPS
PLANT CHURCHES.
We want to see the gospel proclaimed and healthy local churches established throughout Iceland.
From its beginning, Loftstofan has desired to be more than one congregation in Reykjavík. We are praying that God would use our church as a hub for raising up, equipping, sending, and supporting people who will carry the gospel into other communities around the nation.
Our hope is not simply for Loftstofan to grow, but for faithful, Christ-exalting, Bible-preaching, disciple-making churches to multiply across Iceland.
WORKING
TOGETHER.
This vision is shared and supported by The Iceland Project, an initiative devoted to encouraging a church planting movement in Iceland.
The Iceland Project seeks to help establish healthy, gospel-centered, Christ-exalting, disciple-making and multiplying churches while providing theological education, financial support, practical help, and resources for church planters and gospel ministers.

NORTH.
The next step in this vision is a new church plant in Akureyri.
Elliot and Hildur Jones are preparing to help establish a gospel-preaching church in North Iceland. Elliot previously served as one of Loftstofan's full-time pastors and is now preparing for this new work with the support and partnership of Loftstofan and The Iceland Project.
Akureyri is the largest urban center outside Iceland's capital region. We are praying that God would establish a healthy church there that can make disciples, serve the community, and become another base for gospel ministry in the north.
